After completing law school, Mr. Phillips clerked for the honorable Eugene A. Gordon in 1982, and then the honorable Frank W. Bullock, Jr. in the Federal District Court in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1983. Following his time working as a clerk, attorney Phillips has focused on civil litigation, culminating in his partnering with the local attorney, Dennis Ahearn, in 2005.
